Titre : Généalogie familialeI was born in Argentina and migrated to the United States 46 years ago. This July we are returning to Switzerland and Sion/Hérémence and the area from July 29 to August 1st. I’m working on an itinerary right now. Here’s a list of info, ideas, logistics, help we need, and more.
Please let me know if you can help with our project, the parameters, etc.
–My great-grandfather (and great-grandmother) immigrated to Argentina in the 1800s. Last names, Seppey and Vionet.
–We like to continue finding records, information about the family, how the migration works on those years, from the Swiss alps to what port of departure, why Argentina, reason, etc., etc.
–He/She came from the canton of Valais, more exactly Hérémence, Mache, and around that area.
–We have already visited the area a few times; this is not our first trip.
–We have some family in Sion; from them, I have all the info they have. I need to research more and hire an expert to even do some work before we arrive in July.
–So, on records in the center of Valais, Sion is the capital; we need to identify the best government offices, libraries, and churches to go and see what is available in Sion, Hérémence, and others.
–Can you help us do some of the research in advance, creating the appointments during those days? We certainly can hire you for the advance work, then for the days in July.
